About NSS
"Not Me, But You"
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit at GKJNCL, recognised since 2019, runs under SRTMU Nanded's NSS cell and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India. Our unit has 100 active volunteers who contribute a minimum of 120 hours of community service annually.
NSS volunteers are awarded the NSS certificate upon completing their hours — a valued credential in government job applications and further studies. Top volunteers are recommended for state and national NSS awards.

What Our NSS Volunteers Do

Tree Plantation
200+ saplings planted annually in campus and adopted village areas on NSS Day and Van Mahotsav.

Blood Donation Camp
Semi-annual blood donation camps organised in collaboration with the Civil Hospital, Latur — averaging 80 units per camp.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
Monthly cleanliness drives in the college campus, nearby streets, and adopted rural areas under the national programme.

Adult Literacy Drive
NSS volunteers conduct evening literacy classes for adults and out-of-school youth in Latur's slum areas.

Health Camps
Eye check-up, dental, and general health camps organised in partnership with Latur district health authorities.

Electoral Literacy
Awareness drives conducted for first-time voters and NOTA awareness in collaboration with the District Election Office.

Energy Awareness
Door-to-door campaigns on energy conservation, solar energy, and LED replacement — covering 500+ households.
